Local farmer unveils miniature submarine

Zhang Wuyi, local farmer with interests in scientific inventions, unveiled his double-seater submarine during a test operation at an artificial pool in Wuhan, China on May 7. The submarines, mainly designed for harvesting aquatic products, such as sea cucumber, have a diving depth of 20-30 meters, and can travel for 10 hours.






World's longest train tunnel


Crossing the Alps and located in Switzerland, the world's longest train tunnel is scheduled to become operational at the end of 2016. The project consists of two parallel single track tunnels, each of a length of 57 km (35 miles).
